The Human Garden - People Like Flowers

People like flowers, distinct by their smell and shape. Egyptians smell of the Nile, and Indians glow white
with their peace-coloured capes.
This is the world transit where human botanicals meet.
Weed-tongued Italians,
hair braided Norwegians,
prick torn suits of poor Arabs
snail haired unknowns
and a magnolia hearted man with a velvet coloured soul.
And in the midst of all that wilderness, a child giggles and laughs.
